Compile error for meta-toolchain

I have recevied this below error message during the compilation of meta-toolchain, How to resolve this issue,

Command used : bitbake meta-toolchain

Hi Santhosh Kumar,

Are you running behind any proxy server? If this the case then make sure that this URL is not getting blocked in your firewall as I am able to clone the repo successfully (link given in above snap).

$git clone git://sourceware.org/git/glibc.git - This is successfully cloned on my machine.

Hi Samyuktha S,

It looks like network issue as you are not able to fetch a url "git://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git". Are you able to clone this separately on your machine?

$git clone git://sourceware.org/git/binutils-gdb.git

If it fails, then I would recommend you to consult your network administrator.

I too am facing the same issue. Were you able to figure out the solution?

I tried cloning directly and that worked so I'm assuming its not my internet connection.

hi,

its nothing related to internet connection.. its related to permission, some file are unable to overwrite so you will get this issue,

just do sudo chmod -R 777 * to the entire build folder (it will take roughly 2 hrs to do this task due to yocto size) and then compile again
