I think the reason for this fail is that in your Linux image the &lt;STRONG&gt;sftp-server&lt;/STRONG&gt; is missing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Possible Solution:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;add the following text in your &amp;lt;build-directory&amp;gt;/conf/local.conf file, build the linux image with the sftp-server support.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL += "openssh-sftp"&lt;BR /&gt;CORE_IMAGE_EXTRA_INSTALL += "openssh-sftp-server"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Boot the board with the default SD card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="color: #51626f; background-color: #ffffff; border: 0px;"&gt;2.
