topic Power consumption (AN4270) in i.MX Processors

Dear all,

I'm trying to evaluate the power consumption of a system around i.mx53. I've found an application note from Freescale which is based on some use cases:

http://cache.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/app_note/AN4270.pdf

I'm particularly interested in the "Stop mode". According to the numbers given in the application note in this mode the DDR3 is operational and consumes 32mW out of a total of 36.5 mW.

Looking at the kernel sources this mode should put DDR3 in self-refresh mode and suspend itself into the internal RAM. In such a case I would expect a much lower power consumption for DDR3.

However those number are given for the Ubuntu image. Are they applicable also to the LTIB build ?

Thank, Marko
