build imx8 kernel fail

Dear All,

I am new in this area. I tried to follow the instruction https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/i.MX_Yocto_Project_User to build a imx8qevk image. I followed all the instruction from the beginning step by step and I found imx8mqevk is supported. After executing the fsl-setup-releash.sh described in section 5.1 of the document with MACHINE=imx8mqevk DISTRO=poky, there is no error message. However, I execute "bitbake core-image-minimal" then an error message shows up immediately said that "imx8mqevk" is not supported. I changed the MACHINE to "imx6slevk" then it works.

Could anyone kindliy tell me what's wrong?

Hello Ka-Yi,

Are you using the BSP for L4.9.88_2.0.0? It could be that your repo was initialized to an older BSP which does not support the i.MX8MEVK.
