Boot log follows. I've made a lot of progress on my custom board. It was hanging on crypto caam so i disabled everthing with crypto caam in imx_v7_defconfig but now it's hanging on this dns thing. I think I need to somehow disable the hardwired ethernet port because i'm not using the ethernet controllers on this processor (i will be using bt/wifi through uart/sdio later, but not the ethernet peripherals). if i should be disabling ethernet in the kernel, how do i do that? otherwise, how do i get past it hanging on this dns thing?

Boot log:

U-Boot 2016.03 (Sep 13 2018 - 14:46:49 -0400)
arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc (Linaro GCC 7.2-2017.11) 7.2.1 20171011
GNU ld (Linaro_Binutils-2017.11) 2.28.2.20170706
=> run bootcmd
switch to partitions #0, OK
mmc0 is current device
switch to partitions #0, OK
mmc0 is current device
reading boot.scr
** Unable to read file boot.scr **
reading zImage
6643144 bytes read in 299 ms (21.2 MiB/s)
Booting from mmc ...
reading imx6ul-14x14-evk.dtb
36350 bytes read in 20 ms (1.7 MiB/s)
Kernel image @ 0x80800000 [ 0x000000 - 0x655dc8 ]
## Flattened Device Tree blob at 83000000
Booting using the fdt blob at 0x83000000
Using Device Tree in place at 83000000, end 8300bdfd
Modify /soc/aips-bus@02000000/bee@02044000:status disabled
ft_system_setup for mx6

Starting kernel ...

Booting Linux on physical CPU 0x0
Linux version 4.1.15 (user@dave-VBOX-UBUNTU) (gcc version 7.2.1 20171011 (Linaro GCC 7.2-2017.11) ) #10 SMP PREEMPT Thu Sep 13 14:29:52 EDT 2018
CPU: ARMv7 Processor [410fc075] revision 5 (ARMv7), cr=10c53c7d
CPU: PIPT / VIPT nonaliasing data cache, VIPT aliasing instruction cache
Machine model: Freescale i.MX6 UltraLite 14x14 EVK Board
Reserved memory: created CMA memory pool at 0x8c000000, size 320 MiB
Reserved memory: initialized node linux, cma, compatible id shared-dma-pool
Memory policy: Data cache writealloc
PERCPU: Embedded 12 pages/cpu @8bb32000 s16908 r8192 d24052 u49152
Built 1 zonelists in Zone order, mobility grouping on.
