I would like to ask about i.MX8M board design.

Can one remove an oscillator routed to XTALI_27M when HDMI of i.MX8M is not used?

Hello,

Generally 27M crystal may be used by other function like audio.

Only differential 27M oscillator can be removed if no HDMI function.

Thanks for your support.

Do you mean that ‘differential 27M oscillator’ is clock inputs to HDMI_REFCLK_P/N?

And HDMI_REFCLK_P/N can be left open when HDMI is not used.

And 27M crystal cannot be removed even if user does not use HDMI.

Correct?
