Missing /dev/galcore in Linux kernel 4.14.x

Using the 4.14 Linux kernel from GitHub - Freescale/linux-fslc at 4.14.x+fslc I get the following issue

open("/dev/galcore", O_RDWR) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/dev/graphics/galcore", O_RDWR) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

A little digging about suggests that this is related to the mxc driver present in the latest BSP from NXP which is for 4.9. When is the BSP for Linux kernel 4.14 expected to be released?

Hello Henrik,

We released 3 versions of BSP for Linux 4.x: 4.1.15 & 4.9.x(11&51). So please use linux BSP that we formally released.

Hi,

We are using the 4.1.15 BSP you have released for now, but require drivers that were introduced much later. Backporting the drivers is simply not feasible unfortunately. When is the BSP for Linux Kernel 4.14 expected to be released?
