Frame synchronization problem during video cameras switching

Hi all.

I'm using VAR-SOM-MX6_V2 with TVP5150AM1PBS Video Decoder and with two video cameras.

For video cameras image viewing I'm using command mxc_v4l2_tvin.out -ow 640 -oh 480 -fUYVY.

For cameras switching I'm using command echo 1 ( or 0) >> /sys/bus/i2c/devices/0-005d/input

During the cameras switching frame syncronisation takes too much time. How could I fix it?

Hi Anton

i.MX6 IPU has not hardware support improving camera

switching frame syncronisation. One can try to debug it (measuring with

oscilloscope) which part of software takes much time, use mxc_v4l2_tvin

sources in imx-test package:
www.nxp.com/lgfiles/NMG/MAD/YOCTO/imx-test-5.7.tar.gz
