Epiphany web-browser crashes for pyro

Hi everyone,

I want to add a web browser to my linux OS which is generated from PYRO branch-yocto project.

Please, can you suggest me sample web browser for open all web pages.?

I tried epiphany but it crashes with these errors;

-Error caching form data: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files.

-Error in epiphany: free():invalid pointer: 0x7417d288

-Error retrieving adblock filter: Operation not sopported

Also, I did not bitbake chromium image in my pyro project. Kernel version is 4.1.15

Hello Turker Sezgin,

If you are using the i.MX6 your best bet would probably be chromium.

If you are using other processors it would depend on its features. For example, the problem with the i.MX7 and chromium would be that the processor does not support OpenGL 2.0 which is required by most current browsers.

I haven’t used epiphany but I would first make sure that it’s a stable release and that its requirements are met.

Firstly, thanks for your reply.

I am using the i.MX6 quad with yocto PYRO branch. But I can not add chromium in my local.conf. When I add this recipe to local.conf, bitbake operation gives an error.

Also, there is no chromium recipe for pyro branch.

How can I add chromium to my project?
