Recommended platform to handle time constrained communication using embedded Linux

Hi,

I'd like to request some hints to help me to select an appropiate embedded Linux platform to handle the following requirements:

- TFT 4,3" UI interface. ( Simple 2D animations )

- NFC reader support

- VoIP support in the future.

- RS485 communication ( This is the most restricted feature, since I've to handle variable size frames under 10ms )

- Integrated Web server.

My question is...

Should I go for a single core solution like iMX6UL / ULL, or should I choose a dual core heterogeneneus platform like iMX7S or iMX6SoloX? The Cortex M4 would handle the RS485 communication.

Could single core solution be able to handle RS485 enabling RT linux Kernel?

Hi George

if there will be UI interface (and future VoIP support ) better option is

to use dual core implementation with Cortex M4 handling RS485 communication.
