Hi,

1) Question #1: Is there a way to bootstrap the i.MX233 from serial jtag?

We'd like to automatically program our hardware, which uses an i.MX233 as it's main MCU. The examples I see use USB or SD, but in the volumes we do it, we prefer to use a more automated approach, such as JTAG.

We need SD as well as JTAG and they are sharing pins.

2) Question #2: I read about HW_DIGCTL_CTRL_USE_SERIAL_JTAG, but I cannot work out if that is enabled or disabled by "factory defaults". Is this set or not set when shipped?

3) Question #3: jtag feature flash ram

I also assume - based from experience with different cpus - that I can use the JTAG to write to the built-in flash memory and reset the mcu and tell it to boot from built-in flash?

2. "factory defaults" to serial jtag enabled

3. i.MX23 has not built-in flash memory, except fuses (OTP).

for programming images one can look on mfg tool:
