Linux Kernel 4.x for iMX251

Hi,

I am using Linux 2.6.31 on my platform, which is iMX251 3-stack board.

Wondering to know that is there anyone try to port Linux 4.x to this board and is willing to share your experience ?

The latest kernel and BSP release on linux-imx.git is version 4.9.11_1.0.0_ga.

Would it be OK to start porting based on this version ?

you want to port imx25 to yocto, right

I got information :

You need to prepare a patch for adding mx25pdk support into meta-fsl-arm.

Here is an example on how to add a new board:

In this example Daiane added support for mx6 riotboard into meta-fsl-arm-extra. (The -extra means that this board is from third-party. The FSL boards go to meta-fsl-arm instead).
