i.MX6 GPU Timer deadlock, exit by timeout !!!

Hi,

I'm using i.MX6 dual core and its platform is Android 4.3.

Our board raises this error suddenly in the early morning. At that time, nobody uses the board.

After this error, ANR occurred in the several applications. Reason of ANR is "android.intent.action.TIME_TICK".

Other symptoms were LCD off, no event for Key press, no event for Touch LCD. It looks like deadlock.

To recover this problem, I have to power reboot.

I've never reported and seen this problem even though several thousand products are running on the sites.

This is the first time. So, I doubt that the device has physical fault.

If anybody has similar experience, please share opinion and experience.

I attached Kernel exception log.

Android 4.3 is very old release and since many gpu fixes were implemented

in latest releases, recommended to migrate to new Android releases found on

i.MX Software|NXP

Support for old releases is provided through NXP Professional Services:

General steps may be: apply JB_4.3_1.1.1_Patch as described in attached document and

upgrade to L3.0.101 kernel
