      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,I'm using iMX6ULL evk, and currently trying to enable ecspi but spidev is not foundin /dev. I have made changes in dts file and defconfig. Also enabled spi device driver in menuconfig. Please let me know what wrong in these changes.Do i need to change/add something.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; I think it makes sense to configure SPI slave mode support in Linux (SPIDEV).&lt;BR /&gt;By default it is not supported, so,&amp;nbsp; I suggest to use the following sequence for SPIDEV :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;$ bitbake linux-imx -c menuconfig&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;# select DEVICE DRIVERS -&amp;gt; SPI Support -&amp;gt; User mode SPI device driver support&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;$ bitbake linux-imx&lt;BR /&gt;$ bitbake core-image-minimal &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; The recent command is used to deploy compiled files to file system.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have a great day,&lt;BR /&gt;Yuri&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.
