iMX6 - inbuilt H.264 encoder/decoder independently

Hi,

We are using imx6Q custom platform based on sabresd for our development with Linux 3.14.38 GA BSP release.

Could you please let us know, is it possible to use the in-built H.264 encoder and H.264 decoder independently.
We would like to know, whether both encoding and decoding can be done at same time.

If it is so, could you please suggest some sample application (like gstreamer commands) for the same.

Hi,

Please find additional information of our query.

Whether the encoding and decoding can be done in parallel and independently

Camera -> H.264 encoder -> Store in eMMC
Video file -> H.264 decoder -> Display in LCD
