Boot animation timing issue i.MX6 Android

I have connected HDMI and LVDS display to i.MX6Q SABRE AI board.

While booting the "android boot animation" is shown at different time on LVDS and HDMI.

First the boot animation is shown on LVDS(primary display) and then after few seconds it starts on HDMI.

I want to start "android boot animation" at the same time on both displays.

Please help on this.

Hi ,

Basically i want both HDMI and LVDS to show contents from boot time unlike only on LVDS as the current scenario.

Is it possible ?

Hi,

The default BSP is the contents on HDMI is scaling from LVDS. You need do some modify the BSP. I will try confirm it for you that if we have such patch. Then give you reply.

It seems i have received this patch as part of displaying different content on dual display issue.

I did applied this patch and still observing HDMI display showing contents late at boot.

Could you please confirm its the same patch or its having fix for both HDMI and LVDS showing contents from boot.

My Issue :

TripleDisplay extends android framework and let you specify the screen (LVDS or HDMI) that your image/video will show to. It includes an control UI and service.

Therefore, it starts to work after you launch it.

You can try initial HDMI firstly and then LVDS since HDMI needs more time for negotiation, I thought.

JayTu‌ I got this problem too.It may not be caused by hdmi negotiation delay.I try to execute stop && start in shell to restart android services.The issue also is reproduced.

Realy thanks for your reply(nxp email may go before web reply)!We do not have a real lvds lcd,we just adjust hdmi to mxcfb1 to support hdmi hotplug.So blank and unblank operations are invalid to lcd(fake builtin main display).
