Hi Guys

I need help with the splash screen on imx6ulevk. I am using Yocto.

I am trying to have a custom splash screen instead of freescale logo but I cannot succeed.

I tried the answer on this post:

How do I customize the splashscreen image in U-boot?

But there is no folder "uboot-imx/board/freescale/common/"

I have no idea how to do this. Any help is really welcome.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, it did not help at all.

As mentioned, I am using IMX6ULEVK with fsl-image-qt5-wayland on Yocto build.

I tried the method of copying the logo to the FLASH on U-Boot

U-Boot > ext2load mmc 1 10000000 /custom_logo.bmp.gz

gives me the following error:

"Failed to mount ext2 filesystem...
** Unrecognized filesystem type **

Then I tried with:

U-Boot > fatload mmc 1 10000000 /custom_logo.bmp.gz

it never completes...stall on "reading custom_logo.bmp.gz"

I believe that customizing the splash screen should be very easy I don't understand how comes it is that hard-to-find issue.

Please help it is very urgent.
