SPI maximum operating speed

I am using phycore iMX6 module.

I have gone through the datasheet of imX6, but could not find out the maximum operating speed of SPI module.

My requirement is to operate spi upto 80Mhz - is it possible?

Hi,

If you refer to Table 18-4 “System Clock Frequency Values” of the i.MX6DQ Reference Manual, you could verify the clock root option for SPI with a max frequency of 66.5 MHz.

You could also take a look at tables 21-6 and 8-4 of the same document for additional reference.

Hi,

please correct me if i am wrong.

Max speed for rx seems to be 18Mhz for slow pad group or 25 for fast pad group.

While if you only write on fifo, you should be able to reach up to 66Mhz.

Testings, using the "slow" pad group (18Mhz) seems i can
have proper values receivied only unitl 11Mhz, that is not good ...
