I want to interface MCP2515 (CAN Controller) with IMX6 solo processor via SPI .

what is the procedure to do this?

Can anyone help me on this ?

Thanks for the reply .

But that post speaks about the Kernel version.

I am trying to write the code , build it and copy the bin to the SD card and then flash the bin to the processor.

My question : what are the steps to code to make the MCP2515 transmit/receive a CAN signal to the i.MX6 SoloX processor ?

The i.mx6 SoloX has a built in CAN controller (Flexcan) so using the MCP2515 is overkill. You can use a CAN transceiver eg SN65HVD232 with Flexcan.
