    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. I am using a Solid Run Humming Boar Quad (imx6) dev board.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. I am running the Solid Run officially supported / release of Debian Jessie mate 20170413, Linux kernel 3.14.79-fslc-imx6-sr&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. No additional Hw/SW&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. No changes to HW/SW&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5, 6, 7, 8:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am trying to adjust the screen resolution with xrandr to support 1024x768-60&amp;nbsp; resolution&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I follow the normal sequence of :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; a. gtf&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; b. xrandr --newmode&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; c. xrandr --addmode&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Step c above xrandr complains that the new mode is an invalid option.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The connect device correctly shows up as "DISP3 BG"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried this with an HDMI monitor and a VGA monitor (using an HDMI to VGA dongle).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the correct method to change my screen resolution to support the application I will be using this board with?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the display is well on your board, when the board boot up ,you need to use the cat command to confirm which display resolutions are support. If the 1024x768-60 is support, you can use the echo command to change the display resolutions of the screen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;H1&gt;&lt;/H1&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
