The units have got changed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For which I don't know the exact effect.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also can some one explain, how it can be brought back to its initial state.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried expert commands in sudo fdisk /dev/sdb, but no result.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;before&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 0 cylinders, total 0 sectors&lt;BR /&gt;Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;Disk identifier: 0x44cf7252&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;after&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;106 heads, 30 sectors/track, 2435 cylinders&lt;BR /&gt;Units = cylinders of 3180 * 512 = 1628160 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;Disk identifier: 0xbb3f5f5c&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please Kindly Suggest!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
