i.MX6D/Q CSI MIPI camera resolution

Hi,

I have made i.MX6D based design. Right now I am able to interface camera on MIPI CSI with 5MP OV5640. I would like to know what is the maximum camera resolution i.MX6D supports? And can I interface 10MP camera sensor with i.MX6D?

Pixel resolution depen more on IPU, each IPU port can handle 150Mpixel/s, so 1920x720 pixel resolution at 60 fps ~ 83 pixel/s - it can be processed. I.MX6 has 2 IPU. IPU has 1 parallel and MIPI interfaces

I have gone through what you have shared me about CSI and IPU and still working on it.

Can you please let me know whether iMX6D/Q supports 10MP image sensor for capturing an image and video recording?

If yes, then which are camera image sensor are most suitable for iMX6D/Q. Please provide no#.
