Hello,

first of all, please make sure you are using the latest version from www.nxp.com/freemaster. The latest one as of today is 3.2.6 released Nov/2025.

Next, when I see your screenshot, there are really lot of variables in your Watch and they show question-marks - meaning the target board probably does not respond properly. When the communication times-out for lot of consecutive variable reads, the UI may temporarily freeze while waiting for background communication thread to update the data on screen.

Please try to reduce the number of variables in the watch to see if it helps the freezing issue. Note that you can create multiple watch items in the project tree and switch between them easily.

Make sure the board is responsive and you access a valid variable addresses only.

If the freezing continues to happen with reduced watch and with correct variables, please describe your setup in more details - what communication interface and baudrate you use, if you use any interactive HTML/JScript UI. Ideally, share the FreeMASTER project file with us.

Does the freezing occur also when using a FreeMASTER sample application for S32K?

Thanks,
Michal

Can anyone help me.

2.Additionally, I require the I2C communication routine for S32K312. I have previously followed the official tutorial, but the oscilloscope did not display any waveform.

3.I have reinstalled Freemaster multiple times, cleared the cache, tried compatibility mode and administrator privileges, but it still doesn't work properly.

This software has been functioning normally before. However, now when only the software is opened but no project is loaded, it becomes unresponsive. Or when opening the project, it also becomes unresponsive. So far, no other solutions have been found. Can I determine the cause by looking at the software log?

FreeMASTER has complex dependencies on other software components in Windows system, especially the Microsoft Edge browser and on the Chromium project.

Please make sure you have the latest FreeMASTER version installed (3.2.6).

Sometimes it may help to clean the registry settings which may get corrupted. Please run the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freescale\FreeMASTER. Then press F2 to rename the FreeMASTER top-level key to FreeMASTER_backup. The FreeMASTER shall then start in a default position and layout.

Regards,
Michal
