Hello everybody,

we are currently using Freemaster as a means of testing certain features of our products. Due to the upcoming end of support for windows 10 our IT department will have to reinstall several instance of the Freemaster tool.

In the past, we had just used the regular standalone installer without too many issues. This was handled manually. Due to the number of devices/insatallations our IT guys are looking into deploying these installations automatically.

Is there a preferred way of doing this?

I was told a .msi installer for windows would be preferable in terms of remote deployment - is something like this available? I could not find on the regular downloads page for Freemaster.

Thanks four your support.

Hi @SteBu,

In your scenario I would recommend using silent installation - this functionality is designed to automate installation process without user interactions.

Current FreeMASTER installer already supports this functionality and is actually being used by our clients (by their IT).

In this case, the executable should be launched with "-i silent" input argument. This can be orchestrated by the IT team. Optionally, they can pass configuration options, such as component selection or installation folder without user input.

For more details on the topic, please refer to official documentation from InstallAnywhere - the tool used to build FreeMASTER installer.
