&lt;P&gt;This is the ambient temperature range the MC56F8355 can work.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>MC56F8355 start up</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use an MC56F8355 and it doesn't start when I heat it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The RESET signal is OK but the RSTO signal stayes at 0.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your help&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Christophe&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the temperature is 25°C, it's OK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the temperature is 10°C or 50°C, it's not OK.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I changed crystal by a ceramic resonator 8MHz and I can start the µcontroller at 10 and 50°C.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is it necessary to change the bit&amp;nbsp; register COHL which is at&amp;nbsp; 1.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Christophe&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you use 8MHz ceramic resonator, I suppose the COHL bit should be cleared.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Pls refer to section 5.11.5 Oscillator Control Register w/o Relaxation Oscillator (OSCTL) in MC56F8300UM.pdf&lt;/P&gt;
