Hello!

I want to use the headset port with HP_VGND. In figure 19("Typical Application Schematic") it is shown that the mic is using GND. My 4 pin headset jack has only one pin for ground so I would get a shortcut of HP_VGND and GND if I would use it in such way. My question is: Is it possible(and reasonable) to use HP_VGND also for the mic?

-Uwe

Hi,

I attach the EVK board schematics, pls check the connection.

I do not think you can connect the HP_VGND to GND directly, pls refer to the Note:

HP_VGND Note: Do not connect HP_VGND to system ground, even when unused. This is a virtual ground (DC voltage) that should never connect to an actual “0 Volt ground”. Use the widest, shortest trace possible for the HP_VGND.

Hope it can help you

BR

Hi,

I suppose that the HP_VGND is only for the headphone instead of mic.

Hope it can help you
