Hi,

with CodeWarrior Development Studio for 56800/E it was possible to generate a serial bootloader for DSC56F8025/35. See AN3814.

Is there a similar possibility with CodeWarrior for MCUs (Eclipse IDE)?

Hi,

Because the MC56F802x is an old processor, the bootloader code project can only be generated by the classic CodeWarrior tools: the CodeWarrior for DSP56800E, the CodeWarrior for MCU ver11.x can not generate the bootloader code.

You can download the the CodeWarrior for DSP56800E ver8.3 from the link:

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/codewarrior-development-tools/codewarrior-legacy/codewarrior-development-studio-for-56800-e-digital-signal-controllers-classic-ide-v8-3:CW-56800E-DSC

You can install the CodeWarrior for DSP56800E ver8.3 tools on the Win10, you can replace the /ccs directory of the CodeWarrior for DSP56800E ver8.3 with the ccs directory of CodeWarrior for MCU ver11.x, it is okay to run the CodeWarrior for DSP56800E ver8.3 tools on Win10.
