Hi everyone,

I have been assigned a task to update an older piece of software without changing the hardware. The processor used is MC56F8002 and in one of the files it states the following:

THIS FILE WAS GENERATED BY "Processor Expert version 3.00 for Freescale 56800/E family".

I'm trying to find where I can download a legacy version of this software, or if there is a newer version that supports the MC56F8002.

Thank you for any help or advice you might be able to provide.

Hi, Wolfe,

Regarding your question, the CodeWarrior for MCU ver11.x supports MC56F8000 family including MC56F8002. I have tested with CodeWarrior for MCU ver11.x, you can create a project and select PE platform, in this way, you can use PE to set up the peripherals.

you can download the CodeWarrior for MCU ver11.x from the link:

https://www.nxp.com/design/software/development-software/codewarrior-development-tools/codewarrior-legacy/codewarrior-for-mcus-eclipse-ide-coldfire-56800-e-dsc-qorivva-56xx-rs08-s08-s12z-11-1:CW-MCU10

This is the screenshot for the project of MC56F8002 with CW for MCU tools.

Hope it can help you
