cw v10.1 compiler patch install issue

I am attemting to install the 10.1 compiler update and get the following error:

Software being installed: MCU v10.1 Compiler Update (ColdFire, Kinetis) 1.0.0 (com.freescale.mcu10_1.buildtools.win.sp.feature.group 1.0.0)
Missing requirement: MCU v10.1 Compiler Update (ColdFire, Kinetis) 1.0.0 (com.freescale.mcu10_1.buildtools.win.sp.feature.group 1.0.0) requires 'org.eclipse.ui.net [1.0.0.FSL_b15_2105-A21]' but it could not be found

I have edited the freescale location to add the trailing / as describes in the pdf for updating cw10.1

I understand that by installing a patch you are doing through the Eclipse update mechanism? Or did you download an installer?

I have the same error trying to update codewarrior via the HELP->Install New Software... menu.

I tried both methods described in: CW_MCU_v10.1_Update_Procedure.pdf

Anyone know how to fix this? Replies are appreciated.

Same trouble here.

I'm currently downloading the program again to make a clean reinstallation.

Note aside: Seems that some part of FSL SW is missing.

I uninstalled 10.1 completely and did a clean install then modified the update url to add the trailing / as indicated by the cw10.1 update procedure pdf and it now works as it should.

Strange because I am not sure what was different than the first time.

It looks like the Codewarrior 10.1 compiler update is to update an existing Codewarrior 10.1 install.

Since I had Codewarrior 10.0 installed, that looks like the reason I couldn't install the update.

I installed CW 10.1 Special Edition (CW_MCU_v10.1_SE.exe) and was able to update that install as described in CW_MCU_v10.1_Update_Procedure.pdf.

I was also able to install MQX 3.7 after that.

I know that this is late, but it took me a while to track this down. For CodeWarrior v10 updates, you do NOT use Eclipse's Install Software option. You download the new CW version from the Freeescale website, and run the downloaded installer application. The CodeWarrior installer has a complete implementation of CodeWarrior, along with any updated tools or modules.

I had the same problem. I made the problem go away by first completely uninstalling codewarrior, then nothing. We are not going to use this any more. Software should not be this much trouble to use. Good luck.
