reading the flash memory

hi,

i am using codewarrior ver 5.1 and controller is JK8 0f HC08 series. i just want to know after loading an application ie .s19 file in to flash i want to read it back. how can i? i am not setting protection bits while programming. please help me.

I just want the procedure what i do to read it?. because when i am going to load .s19 file in debug window the debuger l dont connect second time untill and unless i press debug path. so tell mi exatelly what i do? i cant understand the message suggested by prevoius scrap.

Hi,
Yes, you need to go into the debugger.
I prefer to run the"True-Time Simulator & Real Time Debugger" independantly. You can do this by running hiwave.exe from the prog directory under your codewarrior install directory.
Once in here, use the menus to establish connection.
When you have a connection there will be a menu named after the connection.
Under here you can choose the "Expert Programmer Mode".
Now you have the normal P&E programmer.
You can get this for HC08 as a seperate programme from pemicro.com
In here you can see the varios options like verify and upload module.
