File error 206003

I just installed CodeWarrior Development studio that came with the EVB9S08DZ60 Starter Kit. When I try to open Demo.mcp in:

C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for HC08 V5.1\(CodeWarrior_Examples)\HCS08\Evaluation Board Examples\EVB9S08DZ60\C\Demo, I get the following error:

File error 206003 ... Unable to open project because file access was denied

I did the online updates after the install. The Help:About says:

CodeWarrior IDE version 5.7.0
Build 2015

Any ideas? Thanks

Please check that all project files have read and WRITE access for the user/system.

Can you check whether you have write access to the file "C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for HC08 V5.1\(CodeWarrior_Examples)\HCS08\Evaluation Board Examples\EVB9S08DZ60\C\Demo\demo.mcp "?

You need write access to the .mcp file to be able to build it.

I am the only user on this machine (Windows XP SP2) and have verified that the "Read Only" attribute is not set on this file. I do not have this problem with any other application.

Hello

Some other questions.

- Is the issue arising for that project only or for any project?

- Do you have write access to "C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for HC08 V5.1"?

- Do you have administrator or user right to C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for HC08 V5.1?

- Also I need to know exactly what you did install.

     To retrieve that info:
           - Start CodeWarrior
          - Select Help -> About Freescale CodeWarrior
           - Click on "Install Products"
          - CodeWarrior version used and service packs installed are displayed on top in the Installed

Products dialog.

I need to see a list of all SP installed.

I tried opening the CAN and LIN projects also with the same results. My account is an Administrator account and there are no other users on my machine. As far as write access, The file demo.mcp is not marked read-only, but that directory as well as every directory on my hard drive has "read only" checked if you right click -> properties. I can change it but it changes right back.
As a test, I tried to save a test file from notepad and it would not save. However, I can save it to other places within c:\Program Files. I thought with an Administrator account there would be no issue with permissions?

I figured it out. I was not aware that the "security" tab was not available in XP Professional without disabling "simple file sharing". I found this on experts-exchange.com. I don't know why the permissions were set up this way. Must have been something the way CodeWarrior installed. Thanks for your help.
