QT1A Full Chip Simulation

Hi!

I'm developing an application for the QT1A.
I tried to simulate the application with the CodeWarrior debugger.
My application uses the KBI interrupt and the possibility to select its polarity using the KBIPR register.
The debugger shows me the register in the data window but it stops when the program tries to write a value into the register with the message 'Error: At location 001C -
Error: Attempt to use unimplemented (--) memory.'

I've already installed the update for CW3.1 related to QY4A but with no effect.
I thinkis a problem in the memory definition for the CPU.

Do anyone know how to overcome the problem or if there's a new update for the CW3.1?

Hello

I assume you are using full chip simulation. Am I right?

Full chip simulation for diverse HC08 MCU are missing simulation of KBIPR register.I have already reported that to P&E asking them for a fix.

In the mean time I can only advise you to use the real hardware for debugging.

Also note that the HC908QT4A is only supported with CodeWarrior for HC(S)08 V5.1 after you install the appropriate service pack.

I've also tierd with CW5.1 and the QY4A update with the same result.

I'll be waiting for news from P&E.

The simulation issue is not fixed in V5.1 with service pack. But at least with V5.1 and service pack installed you should be able to debug on real hardware.
