I am using Code Warrior which came with the DEMO9S08AW60E Evaluation Board.

When I load an S19 file into the debugger, a dialog appears which says:
"Load Image contains flash memory data", "Erase and program flash?"

I click "YES" and the CPROGHCS08 Programmer window appears.

The program automatically executes; CM, EM, and PM, however, when the PM (Program Module) is executed, I get the following error message:

"Programming and verifying address $01860 Error during programming."
"Error 18 during script"

In other posts I have read a suggestion to use the "Expert Mode Programmer"

When I use the Expert Mode Programmer, and perform Erase Module, and Program Module, I get no error.

Question:

Why at this level of maturity for this product does the Erase and Program function within the True-Time Simulator and Debugger not work?

Thanks,
Mike

Hello Mike,

Unfortunately you forgot to read the [IMPORTANT] When Asking about CODEWARRIOR !!!

There is a crucial point missing: the version you are using + which cable ?!
Please come back with it.

The product you use has been tested and is supposed to work.
I don't see any product that is recognizing the S08AW60 and would not program it, that is a basic S08 product in term of programming and is supported.

The language you use let me thinh you are using the USB Multilink from P&E Microcomputers + their associated "third party" software add-on to CodeWarrior. But the rest is doesn't come to my crystal ball

Cheers,
Alban.
