For MC68HC908AB32 microcontroller which CodeWarrior version is required? . what is the difference between CW IDE 6.3.2 and CW for MCU 11.1.?

HI,

MC68HC908AB32 is very old product. It is only supported on CW6.3 now:

CW6.3 is legacy product. It works on Windows XP/Vista 32-bit , but doesn't support win7/10/11 64bit.

CW for MCU 11.1 doesn't support HC08 device. It supports HCS08.

There is no pin to pin device to MC68HC908AB32. I suggest LPC80x device as replacement.

LPC80x build toolchain is MCUXpresso IDE.

No. If 64pin is must, I suggest LPC845M301JBD64 or LPC844M201JBD64

LPC845 supports DAC and cap touch, LPC844 doesn't. Other features are the same.

Is there any microcontroller which is compatible with MC68HC908AB32CFU.

because these suggested microcontroller do not have all features and also do not have EEPROM , Monitor ROM.

The most similar part should be KE02. It also has 64k package.

If I am installing CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers (RS08HC(S)08-ColdFire V1) v6.3.exe for MC68HC908AB32CFU In my Machine which have XP window then this below error is coming.

The contents of this file cannot be unpacked The executable you are attempting to run has been Corrupted please obtain another copy of the file verify its integrity and try again.

Do you have any idea why this error is coming.
