Hi,

Looking to get some info on what SAST, static code analysis tools can be used with a new project "NXP PowerPC processor MPC8313E. The CodeWarrior IDE V8.8 is used as the C/C++ development platform"

Free would be ideal if there is an open-source option, but any compatible tool would be great.

PC-lint is a third-party software development tool that checks C/C++ source code for bugs, inconsistencies, non-portable constructs, redundant code, and other problems.

CodeWarrior for Power Architecture™ Processor includes target settings panels and plug-ins that let you configure and use PC-lint from within the CodeWarrior IDE. However, the PC-lint software itself is not included with your CodeWarrior product. As a result, you must obtain and install a copy of PC-lint before you can use it with the CodeWarrior IDE. Among other places, PC-lint is available from its developers, Gimpel Software (www.gimpel.com).

Please open C:\Program Files (x86)\Freescale\CodeWarrior PA V8.8\Help\_index.chm, then search PC-lint to get the topics about how to use PC-lint in CodeWarrior.

Thanks, the supplier has purchased a PC-Lint license and will be using this tool to meet the cyber requirements.
