Microcontrollers damaged by a big download

Hello,

since 2009, I'm using Codewarrior 8.2.3 with some boards based on MC56F8367, and USB TAP for debug.

In the last week, testing an application of increasing size, initially the cpu started to behave strangely when the size of the download exceeded 260 Kbytes.

I then started doing debugging tests, but from one moment to the next, the programming no longer happened, and the message "CCSProtocolPlugin: Unknown protocol error" began to appear.
I tried with other applications, other TAPs and other PCs, but the CPU seems dead.
Then I took another cpu, I transferred the application of about 280kbyte, at first apparently with a positive result, but from the second transfer, the same error of the first cpu appeared, and even this cpu now seems hopelessly dead.

I would therefore ask if it is conceivable that the download may have damaged the microcontrollers, and what to do to avoid it.

please check if the USBtap is correctly installed and recognized ?
Plug the USBTap on the PC, launch the CCS and type:
show com
delete all
show cc
config cc utap
show wdv
show cc

Basically the problem was the "config cc utap" is what fixed everything to work. Don't forget to save the config after you do this.
