Why is file debugout.txt being created?

I recently upgraded from CW 10.6.3 to 10.6.4 and now, every time I debug my program, the file debugout.txt is created at the top level of my workspace. Despite it being called a text file, it is clearly a binary file. Why is this file being created, and how do I stop it? If I can't stop it, how do I at least read and interpret it?

Which chip do you used, could you please take a screenshot about the .txt file place.

I am using the MCF52258 chip. The image below shows the file's location. I have attached the txt file as well.

Hi Frank,

Is the debugout.txt file created only when debugging that project? Could you share the project so we can reproduce it on our side?

Could you also tell us which programming interface are you using?

Hi Frank,

could it be that you are using semihosting? In that case the target could write that file.
