We upgraded from 10.2 to 10.4. Using the repair option we got a 10.3 license, fine.

Ours is a disk locked floating license.

The 10.2 server line reads SERVER xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx DISK_SERIAL_NUM=3C79B2F7.

The 10.3 server line reads SERVER xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 3C79B2F7.

Without the "DISK_SERIAL_NUM" It appears the FlexLM service believes this is a MAC address.

The FlexLM log shows...

9:15:29 (metrowks) Server started on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx for: ProfessionalEditionMCU
9:15:29 (metrowks) Wrong hostid on SERVER line for license file:
9:15:29 (metrowks) C:\FLEXlm\license(10.4).dat
9:15:29 (metrowks) SERVER line says 3c79b2f7, hostid is 90e6ba605620
9:15:29 (metrowks) Invalid hostid on SERVER line
9:15:29 (metrowks) Disabling 1 license from feature ProfessionalEditionMCU(D92AF33EF19D)

3c79b2f7 is that servers disk serial and 90e6ba605620 is that servers MAC address.

I can't add the "DISK_SERIAL_NUM" qualifier as that causes the license "CRC" check to fail.

I opened a Service Request to no avail they seem to have stopped responding.

Is their any help to be had here?

Thanks

Hello Dave,

May be there is an issue in our web licensing system.

I've checked in our data base and found there are 2 registrations code associated to the 3C79B2F7 diskID.

Your registration is DLA-STD2PRO-FL and it is locked on DiskID 3C79B2F7.

Under this registration I see the license file for:

CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers (Windows Hosted, Eclipse based) - Professional Edition V10.2

Strange ... I should see V10.3 and not V10.2.

Can I recommend you to:

      - rehost the registration on DiskID.

This will re-initialize the license system. In some case a rehost could solve the problem.

      - reload the license file.

If this is not working, I propose you something else.

hope this will help you.

Pascal

Pascal,

Thank you for your reply. I re-hosted http://postimg.org/image/dm562eojv/ no problem.

But on the suite details page there is no list item for CW 10.3 for MCU http://postimg.org/image/ieftmpzvh/

How can I get the re-hosted license?

Thanks.

It seems there is a problem under your Freescale account.

On my side I see the license registration FSL-147e-e051-3386-f1d0-915d-d6 which is for MCU v10.2.

However on your side this is not listed.

I've removed it.

Try again.

Now you should see MCU V10.3 in the list.

Pascal
