I have recently purchased a Code Warrior Standard with floating license and the digital download version. I have registered the product on 2nd Oct 2008. I have applied for a license for HCS08. The site told me that I would receive the license file from the Licensing Department. I am still waiting for it... Does it take a week to send a license file? Is it normal or should I write a service request now? By the way, how to download the standard code warrior?

No, it should not take that long to get a license. Enter a service request and request help with your licensing problem here. On the service request page, for the Category option, choose Technical Request. For the Topic option, choose License Issues. Have any relevant authorization/ID numbers available so that they can quickly track down your purchase in the database system.

Regarding the download question. It's only the license.dat file that makes difference between various CodeWarrior editions.
So you can download the CodeWarrior Special Edition or Evaluation (http://www.freescale.com/lgfiles/devsuites/HC08/CW_MCU_V6_2_SE.exe?fpsp=1) and use the Standard Edition license.dat.
