Can a Node Locked License be changed to a floating license?

I think you can, but I do not know the details. File an on-line service request here, and for the Category pick Software Product Support and for Topic choose License Issue. These choices send the request to the licensing people and you can them how it can be done.

One of the dumber decisions I've made was to buy a floating license instead of a node locked, to "save money". All the fuss and weeks spent getting the float license to work made it the far more expensive option. And each time the server has to be swapped etc, the fuss starts over again.

As a CW user with lots of experience from floating licenses, I would strongly advise you not to get one.

why didn't I read this post before.

I already lost more than half a day trying to get a CW Pro floating license to work and still no progress :smileysad:

getting a crack would have been much easier and effective.
