Importing CW projects issue from XP to 7

Hello all,

I have some CodeWarrior projects running on windows xp , good . I got a new laptop with W7-64bits, I installed the same version of CW Development Studio 5.9.0. until here eveything is fine, I am able to create new projects, compile... etc but when I try to open my previous project created under XP, in W7 they are opened as XML files. Weird....

Did someone face the same issue? do you have any clue? Tips?

Hi all,

Ok maybe it's obvious but I hope that could help some beginners like me :smileyhappy: I fixed the problem by exporting the project from an XP machine into an XML format, after that I import it as an XML file in my W7 machine.

Here is the correct and practical way to fix this problem:

Go to: edit -> preferences -> General -> IDE Extras and then select ‘Use text-based projects’ option.
