Interaction between custom Flash Utility and CW IDE

Hello,

I am trying to create custom Flash Utility according to the Application Note AN3859.
Returning a specific error code: TIMED_OUT, UNSUPPORTED, VERIFY_ERROR and so on is this the only way to interact with the IDE?
In other words - is it possible to return some useful custom text message and show it in the Console Window or somewhere else?

And the second question is how is possible to debug FlashTool KitTemplate Flash Utility?

Regarding to your questions.

1. Yes, this is the only way. there is no other message

2. We can't debug with Flash utility
