By "bus timeout" I mean the following situation: the bus master initiates a transaction on the bus, but this transaction is not finished within reasonable time. "Not finished" means no transfer acknowledge asserted by bus slave. If no transfer acknowledge asserted within reasonable time, than bus timeout expires and bus monitor generated "transfer error acknowledge" (or TEA). This &lt;STRONG&gt;TEA&lt;/STRONG&gt; causes machine check. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12.0pt;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12.0pt;"&gt;I can not say precisely, why &lt;STRONG&gt;TEA&lt;/STRONG&gt; is asserted in your case, but usually the reason of &lt;STRONG&gt;TEA&lt;/STRONG&gt; is an attempt to access to incorrect memory address (not assigned to any memory controller).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Mpc860 debug issue</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;i'm using MPC860 in my board which is not entering into debug suddenly, which is working previous.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The Transfer Error Acknowledgment(TEA) pin is toggling which is indication for BUS ERROR when trying to enter into debug.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;can you help us how to solve this issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i checked power supply,clock,resets everything is fine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have another two boards with same configuration which are working,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But this board stopped working suddenly&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

By "bus timeout" I mean the following situation: the bus master initiates a transaction on the bus, but this transaction is not finished within reasonable time. "Not finished" means no transfer acknowledge asserted by bus slave. If no transfer acknowledge asserted within reasonable time, than bus timeout expires and bus monitor generated "transfer error acknowledge" (or TEA). This &lt;STRONG&gt;TEA&lt;/STRONG&gt; causes machine check. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12.0pt;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 12.0pt;"&gt;I can not say precisely, why &lt;STRONG&gt;TEA&lt;/STRONG&gt; is asserted in your case, but usually the reason of &lt;STRONG&gt;TEA&lt;/STRONG&gt; is an attempt to access to incorrect memory address (not assigned to any memory controller).&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
