CW debug fail..

Dear Officer,

We are using HCS12G serials to do the motor control project and I have installed the CW 5.1, but facting the problem when doing the debug by clicking on Debug button, the error message will shows:

Error starting external debugger. Process Error Code 740 (0x2e4)

The requested operation requires elevation.

Could you advise if I miss some installation?

Can you try running CodeWarrior in administrative mode, just to see if this solves this problem?

Dear Erich,

I select he IDE.exe and right click and select "Run as Administrator" , but still got same error. (But it didn't prompt to enter Admistnittraor passpord), Any things I could miss?

I am using Windows 10 Pro, that could be issue?

I try to set the IDE.exe property Compatibility: Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or 8, then the debug menu can come out for while then crash and disappear again after while..
