Hello All,

I am working on multiple projects and one of the project uses S08 MCU and another uses 8051 and both are from NXP. Does MCUXpresso supports these MCU's? or Do I need to download some other IDE? If MCUXpresso supports these MCU's for programming, how to add S08 MCU list in the project? This is because I tried seeing the S08 MCU but could not find one.

Thanks for answers.

Ashurtosh

Hi Ashurtosh

MCUXpresso doesn't support S08. So far there is no plan to support S08 on mcuxpresso IDE.

TO work with S08, please use CW11.

https://www.nxp.com/support/developer-resources/software-development-tools/codewarrior-development-tools/codewarrior-leg…

Have a great day,
Jennie Zhang

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If this post answers your question, please click the Correct Answer button.

MCUXpresso IDE and Tools do suppor the ARM Cortex M devices, but not the S08 architecture.

For the S08, you need the CodeWarrior for MCU (http://www.nxp.com/cwmcu10 ) which is as well Eclipse based.

I hope this helps,

Erich
