Codewarrior Ver6.3 installation in Windows 10, 64 bit system

I have tried to install "Codewarrior Ver6.3 in my Windows 10, 64 bit system and followed the procedure as per NXP provided How-to Directly Install CodeWarrior 6.3 Classic in Windows 7 & 10 x64 (Unofficial Method) .

I have downloaded "CodeWarrior for Microcontrollers here: CW_MCU_V6_3_SE.exe" file and using 7Zip, I have extracted the files, but I could not find "CW_MCUs_V6_3.msi" file to run RemoveOSCheck.

Please let me know, where can I find/ get the CW_MCUs_V6_3.msi file, so that I will use the same in my system CodeWarrior v6.3 installation.

Hello ,

I just extracted CW6.3 install file in my side, CW_MCUs_V6_3.msi is there.

See attached video.

Please make sure your file size is the same as this video shows.

Please make sure you use 7zip.

please test uncompression on another computer if necessary.

Hello ZhangJennie,

Thanks for your message on msi file. When I tried to install through setup.exe application (after performing RemoveOSCheck on the CW_MCUs_V6_3.msi file), I could able to get the message "Codewarrior v6.3 is not compatible with Windows XP 64 bit systems". Please find the system message in the attached file in JPG form. Please help in this regard.

Please note this solution is not officially supported by NXP support. I would suggest you contact this article author for more information.

if 64bit win7/win10, NXP officially recommended CW version is CW10 or CW11.
