DSC BOOT LOAD FIRMWARE-MC56F8346VFVE

Hi, We have code warrior OnCE USB Tap (CWH-UTP-ONCE-HE) and we need to program BOOT Load Firmware for MC56F8346VFVE device.

Please provide me procedure to program. I mean softwares to be used and cables required and any procedure document.

I have.S files for this.

But do i need to program with USB or Parallel cable.

Using USB and command line commands, it dint work.

56F83xxSCI Bootloader works with PE
Bootloader Project:
This bootloader application is included as part of the Classic CodeWarrior Development Studio for 56800/E Digital Signal Controllers. Follow these steps:
1) Install CodeWarrior Development Studio for 56800/E Digital Signal Controllers
2) Launch CodeWarrior, and create new Processor Expert project
a. Select File > New menu
b. Select Processor Expert Examples Stationery
c. Type project name
d. Click OK
e. Select Bootloaders > 56F83xx > serial_bootloader
f. Click OK
3) Generate application code by selecting Processor Expert > Generate Code menu

I have .S file and PCB with MC56F8346VFVE and JTAG to program.

I want to tools and softwares required for loading boot load firmware into flash and procedures for this.

CW10 includes standalone programmer which can burn s19 file to chip flash directly. please take a look at Erich's article:

Hi Jennie,

Initially I got this error “ CHawkV2::ConfigFile::LoadFromFile: Invalid command set_pram_base”

Then I have selected config file from “ C:\Program Files\Freescale\FlashProgrammer v1.2\M56800E_Support\initialization “

Later when I try to program below error is prompted.

You need make sure the bootloader project can connect board via debugger.

if the program can launch debugger without problem but only has problem via simple flash, please send your project here, we can test it.
