Enquiry on processor MPC5200

Hi,

Is their any other hardware that I can use to do flash programming and hardware Dianosigic with MPC5200 PowerPC e300 Core Integrated Processor (400MHz)?

I had tried with Codewarrior Tap CWH-CTP-BASE-HE but the CodeWarrior doesn't seems to connect to my target board.

I tried using CWH-UTP-PPCD-HE and i can perform flash programming as well as hardware Dianosigic.

Hello Evan

The part number of USBTAP that support MPC5200 is CWH-UTP-PPCC-HE. However it is not manufactured now.

Its replacement is CWH-CTP-BASE-HE.

However if you are using CodeWarrior for MobileGT v9.2, you need install CCS update. For details, please review this document:

CodeWarrior for MobileGT v9.2 also supports Abatron BDM-2000. In CodeWarrior's Connection select menu, the connection name for it is Abatron Serial and Abatron TCP/IP.

From the previous version(older version) till current.

The latest CodeWarrior version that supports MPC5200 is v9.2:

CodeWarrior Development Tools for mobileGT|NXP

MPC5200 is an old product, and we have not updated its CodeWarrior for many years.

CWH-UTP-PPCC-HE is the only Codewarrior USB TAP that can support MPC5200? There’s no other version or previous version that can support MPC5200?

And CWH-CTP-BASE-HE is the only replacement that we can use with MPC5200?

Currently we could not use CWH-CTP-BASE-HE to test out our target board.

We tried with CWH-UTP-PPCC-HE and can be tested.

But we could not get any CWH-UTP-PPCC-HE as it is not manufactured now.

We would like to know the list of Codewarrior USB TAP that can support MPC5200 so that we can have more option to source for.
