Problem with mingw32-make and .bat files

Hello everybody.

I'm having problems with codewarrior v10.6 version eclipse.

I can not compile any project, including sample projects.

When I try to compile, the following error appears:

"C:\\Freescale\\CWU_v10.6\\gnu\\bin\\mingw32-make" -j8 all

process_begin: CreateProcess(C:\User\....\Local\Temp\make7036-1.bat,C:\User\....\Local\Temp\make7036-1.bat,...) failed.

make(e=2): The system can not find the specified file.

mingw32-make: ***[Sources/main_asm.obj] Error 2

For some reason, the compiler is unable to generate the .bat files.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hello Lima,

(1) Please create a simple bare board project , then test it . And also change other chips to have a try.

(2) Where do your CW installed ? I recommend you install it under the default path.

Hello Yang,

I tried to carry out the instruction 1 and persists even before the error for different chips.

The cw is installed at C: \ Freescale \ CW_MCU_v10.6

The version of cw that I'm using is the special suite version. Is the v.10.6.4 available for special suite too?

I think the problem is being caused because my machine not correctly run the .bat files. Whenever I try to run a .bat file without being as administrator, it appears the same error that appears in codewarriors: Windows can not find the ... \ bat..

Hi Fernando,

The user should have administrator right to use CodeWarrior Classic or Eclipse without problem.

All Patches and Updates are available for all suites and for Special Edition too.

By default when a new patch is available, CodeWarrior Eclipse will inform you with a message at right corner status bar.

Else you can check it manually.

For CodeWarrior Classic you can refer to the doc:

Eclipse Updates & New Software

Problem: How can you update your installed eclipse plugins, and even more important install patches and new service packs?

In MCU10.x, you can see two menu entries to get updates or to install new software:

‘Check for Updates’ is here to update packages already installed, where with ‘Install New Software’ you can install new plugins.

If you want to check for new service packs or patches, you might think that ‘Check for Updates’ would do this. However, if you do this, you probably will get:

You need to read on to know why eclipse might report that there is nothing to update, even if there are patches or service packs available.
