MPC8641D did not halt

Hi,

I am trying evaluate MPC8641D based custom design board using Codewarrior and facing a strange problem. The boundary scan using ccs server shows the IDCODE, but when we tried to connect using debug->connect its saying "core did not halted". Did any body faced the similar kind of issue? Any points will be really helpful.

Hello Ashish Khetan,

Most probably there is hardware design problem on your target board, please refer to the following checklist.

Ensure HRESET not tied to TRST.

HRESET to the processor exclusive to COP/JTAG header.

problems arise when the core is reset and the debugger doesn’t know about it. Usually the debugger will report the processor cannot be put into STOP mode.

Processor must be running properly in valid clocks and valid Reset clocks.

TDI/TDO/TCK tied directly to processor.
